Object description
The photograph captures a frontal view of the polychrome wooden sculpture "Cherub Heads" by Johann Georg Pinsel from the Gallery’s collection. The nature of the photography indicates that it was taken for internal museum documentation. The sculptural objects are photographed against a neutral, mid-tone background, with the items mounted on a wall, presumably within an exhibition space. The undeniable value of this photographic document lies in its record of the works’ history at a certain stage of their existence.
