Object description
The life-size seated figure of the saint from the ambon of St. Stanislaus Church is presented in a dynamic pose. His head is tilted towards his right shoulder. His deep-set eyes, hollow cheeks with expressive cheekbones and tightly set lips give the impression of a thoughtful man. His tired face is covered with expressive strands of wavy hair, carefully worked out by the sculptor's chisel. The whole body is full of dynamism. The saint's garments cover his entire body, exposing only his hands and feet. The figure's dynamic is further enhanced by the folds of the garment, which have distinct creases and slight undercuts.
