Object description
Ignacy Pac (?–1765) – Inspector General of the Army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (1760–1763), Major General of the Lithuanian Army, Marshal of the Court of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle in 1761. He was the son of Jozef Franciszek Pac and his wife Balbina Wollowicz. On a dark background is a clear, bust-length image of Ignacy Pac depicted in a proud pose and with a blue ribbon of the Order of the White Eagle. The artist conveys the inner dignity of the portrayed man, skilfully painting his face with a high forehead, a small straight nose, small eyes, and red lips under a drooping moustache. The restrained colour range in the painting doesn't distract attention from the image of the portrayed man.
