Ludwika Zabielska of the Marchocki family (c. 1760 – after 1790) was a daughter of Michal Marchocki and Kateryna Marchocka nee Michalowska. Around 1780, Ludwika became the wife of Piotr Zabelski, a member of the Galicia Sejm. The painting shows a half-length image of a young, beautiful woman in a graceful pose and an exquisite blue dress with a large square neckline. A red rose in the centre of the dress dominates the portrait's pastel tonality. The face is drawn cleverly: with rosy cheeks, a sharp chin, small lively eyes, and clear eyebrow lines. Her hair is neatly arranged in a lush hairstyle with curls falling to her shoulders and adorned with ostrich feathers and flowers. The inscription is on the back of the portrait: "Ludwika Zabielskiego siostra mey matki zona Piotra Zabielskiego".
