The crucifix from the village of Vybranivka is carved adhering to the traditional scheme of Christ's positioning: with his head tilted to the right and with specific body proportions. The artwork's iconography follows the Western tradition, where the Savior's feet are placed one on top of the other and nailed to the cross with a single nail. Despite the calm and balanced expression on Jesus' face, his pain and suffering are indicated by his curved body and the bloody wound under his rib. His face is framed by a short beard and straight strands of dark hair, parted in the middle and lightly carved with shallow lines. The figure of Christ is squat, with somewhat generalised anatomical features. The author's desire to convey the Saviour's suffering is evident in the saint's outstretched arms, tilted head and curved figure.
