In addition to dynamic neo-Baroque and neo-Romantic allegorical compositions, graceful figures in the spirit of the "neo-Florentine", monumental and decorative sculptures and tombstones, T. Baracz created numerous portraits of representatives of Lviv's social elite, creative and intellectual circles: academically balanced, artistically generalised, with a clear architectonics, careful reproduction of individual characteristics. In some of them, the master used his photographs – a desire, influenced by Italian Verismo, to capture moments of life as accurately as possible. One of T. Baracz's most successful works is the "Bust of Kozlowiecki" (1895), one of the artist's later works based on a well-developed system of artistic techniques. As a subject of fascinating artistic study, the master reproduces an elderly, thick face that is unsightly but full of strength, thoughts, and desire for action. The reflection of the character in its instantaneous manifestations is achieved through energetic modelling, a wise gaze of carefully modelled dark eyes, and a barely perceptible tilt and turn of the head.
