Object description
Rectangular porcelain vessel with cut corners and metal-rimmed lid. The surface is covered with a light green glaze. On the outer walls in the technique of polychrome painting are depicted: on the top of the convex lid - a scene in the garden, where six girls in traditional Chinese clothes engaged in the creation and viewing of scrolls, on the sidewalls of the lid and the vessel - a pelmet ornament. On the inside, two cartouches of erotic scenes are painted in blue in the technique of monochrome painting on the bottom of the vessel and on the bottom of the lid. The metal rim of the vessel is fixed and consists of strips and a rectangular plate with a figured hole. The metal rim of the lid is fixed, consisting of two crossed strips secured by a third at the edge, on which are placed four metal overlays in the form of dragons and one in the form of a phoenix.
