This is one of ten works from the series of lithographs with the views of Lviv during the Russian occupation in the winter of 1915. The author sketched the view from the former defensive walls to the east of the city center. The ensemble of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with the dominating Korniakt Tower is depicted in the center. The City Hall Tower with a flag over it is visible in the background. An electric tram runs downstairs near the church; the artist brought into focus the tram car with orange spots of light in the cabin. The pink shade of the sky intensifies the impression of the evening time and the view to the west.
