Object description
In the painting, against a red background, under a tree, a boy and a girl are depicted. The boy sits facing forward, with his head raised, wearing a brown beret, a red jacket, and yellow trousers. He holds a pipe with both hands and looks at the girl, turned to the left in profile. She leans over and blows into the pipe. The girl's hair is raised; she wears a blue corset and a wide white skirt. This naive scene reflects the carefree and joyful world of children who know how to have fun and eagerly explore the sounds of simple musical instruments, developing the subtle sphere of natural emotions. The painting was received from the Lviv City Gallery under an unknown authorship. The work is attributed to the French School of Painting of the 18th century.
