Object description
In the 18th century, portraits of children by themselves were quite rare. Depicting the descendants of the famous by ancestry parents, portraits had representative functions. In portraits, children were often dressed in costumes similar to adults, with wigs on their heads. They were represented with stiff backs and fixed facial expressions. The painting portrays a girl with flowers in an oval. The artist captured a cute and sincere childish image with big brown eyes and a faint smile on her face. The portrait is painted in the manner typical of provincial artists.
