Object description
The sculpture represents an allegorical image of Christian mercy in the form of a beautiful woman in a graceful pose with a heart in her hand. Her head is tilted to her left shoulder, her face is carved with light movements of the chisel, and a smile is frozen on her lips. The long, belted dress leaves only her bare feet exposed. The image of the allegory is influenced by Baroque plasticity, which is evident in the choice of pose and the reproduction of moving draperies that try to repeat the body's movement.
