In the inventory records of the Pidhirtsi Castle the work "Still Life with Birds - II" was mentioned in 1768, between 1812 and 1813, in 1859, 1887, and 1939; it has the character of trompe l'oeil and is called "like a painted board". The background is an imitation of a wooden board. The composition consists of two dead hanging birds placed in the center, scissors, quills, one of which is broken, and a sheet of paper with the image of a nobleman. The texture of the wood is depicted in detail. Things aren’t united by a certain theme, however they are balanced and clear. Still lifes of a similar type were extremely popular in castles in our lands; they could be seen in Pidhirtsi and Zolochiv castles, Laszki Murowane, etc.
