Object description
Against a dark background, occupying the entire length of the vertical composition, is a bust-length depiction of a grey-haired man with a moustache and sideburns. The head of the portrayed man is slightly turned to the left. The facial features are distinct: a high forehead with wrinkles, furrowed brows, a sharp, straight nose, sunken cheeks, and a strong, square chin. The gaze is wary. The man is wearing a black frock coat, a grey double-breasted vest, a white shirt, and a black tie.
