Biography
Stanislaw Wyspianski was born in 1869 in Krakow. He studied at the Jagiellonian University and Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He was a member of the Young Poland movement, and art editor of the weekly Życie (Life). Stanislaw Wyspianski is known as a playwright and poet, modernist painter, and designer. The artist died in November 1907. He was buried in Krakow.
Object description
a) The picture represents a stone architectural complex development. In the center there is a semi-circular arch, on both sides of which there are stone staircases at some distance. On the left side of the work there is a circular shaped tower with a spire roof. b) In the foreground, one can see a part of a city street with high buildings on both sides; in the background there are low buildings.

a) In the lower part of the work there is a creation place and date written in Polish. In the lower right corner there is the author monogram. b) In the lower part of the work there is a creation place and date written in Polish.
