Object description
The miniature represents a bust-length image of a young woman against the light gray and blue background. She is wearing a blue Empire silhouette dress with a standing lace along a neckline; on her chest there is some jewelry with blue stones matching the earrings of the same set. Over the light and curled hair, which is falling down the forehead, one can see a crown and a string of pearls. The miniature was inspired by the portrait, which was painted by Johann Baptist von Lampi the Younger in 1810; the composition slightly replicates the miniature by J. Kreuzinger (1810). The miniature is in a thin bronze frame that is inserted into a snuff box made from a dark tortoise shell.
