Object description
The sculpture of an angel is one of the sculptures placed in the Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Mykulyntsi. It was part of the altar composition. The angel is carved on a volute in an expressive pose with his arms outstretched. His head is tilted and turned to the right. The head has a distinctive type of hair with curls, typical of the Baroque style. The pattern of the garment's drapery is in horizontal stripes with sharp edges, without excessively sharp intersections and folds. The sculptural image of an angel is characterised by Baroque plasticity, expressed in the realistic modelling of the human body and the expression of the drapery.
