The work is characteristic of the author, reflecting the explorations of an experimental period and meticulous study of avant-garde artists' experience, particularly Constructivists and Suprematists (for example, the practices of Liubov Popova, Kurt Schwitters and Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart in the 1920s). This is reflected in the development of visual components based on combining a series of interconnected rectangular shapes and one circle segment. In Serge Poliakoff's practices of the 1960s, consonant colour-compositional explorations were present. However, one can also find related examples among more local practices, particularly in the works "Composition" (1924) and "Textured Construction" (1925) by Aleksander Rafalowski (1894–1981), who lived in Lviv during the interwar period and the Nazi occupation. The composition is harmonious, oriented towards tonal and colour accents. Contrasting ratios in achromatic components are used. The artist transformed the paint layer of the canvas using solvents, creating both an original visual solution and the effect of another time.
