Object description
The frontal sculptural image depicts the head of a young man. A soft contour line envelops the oval face with a double chin. The young man's expression is calm and balanced. A high forehead, a barely outlined line of brow arches, clearly defined bulging almond-shaped eyes, and plump, slightly parted lips characterise the subject's expression. The head is encircled by rhythmically intertwined curls, meticulously modelled with deeply carved lines and sharp, ribbed protrusions characteristic of Baroque sculpture.
