The drawing is done in pencil. From left to right, a black cross is depicted falling diagonally. Beneath it is the half-bent figure of a barefoot Jesus with his head bowed to his right shoulder, wearing a crown of thorns. With his left hand, he touches the ground, while his right hand holds onto the crossbar. Four men are depicted around him: the man on the left is holding a rope tied to the cross. The man behind the cross is swinging a whip at Jesus. Two men on the right are supporting the cross, one of them wiping away tears. The Saviour is depicted in biblical clothing, while the men around him are dressed in the clothing of Galician townspeople from the early 20th century.
