Biography
Fanny Romanini, an Italian miniaturist, worked with her husband Antonio Romanini in Milan between 1822 and 1839.
Object description
On a dark grey background, there is a detailed depiction of a man turned three-quarters to the right, seated in a red, plush armchair. He has curly black hair. He is wearing a black tailcoat with a velvet collar and golden buttons, emphasising the front of his white waistcoat and shirt. The man's right hand rests on the back of the chair. On his chest, there is an order.
