The sculpture of a man is made in a full-length sitting position. The artist skilfully reproduced the exhausted body of the prisoner – the tension is felt in every curve. The man's head is turned to the right, bowed on his chest. Strands of wavy hair, reproduced in an original manner, fall on a high forehead, smoothly turning into a straight nose. The prisoner's face is characterised by the typical face form of Oledzki's works; his nose is slightly protruding, his forehead is high, and his almond-shaped eyes bulge with drooping eyelids. The closed lips are framed by a beard that falls on the protruding chest. The image of pain and suffering froze on the man's face. The sculptor depicted him with muscular arms behind his back, ribs protruding from under the skin, and a sunken abdominal cavity. The prisoner's body is wrapped with a drapery permeated with dynamic refracted lines of folds. The external effect prevails in plasticity, which is felt in the figure's pose and the theatricality of the movement.
