The first work, La Confiena in Roma, was performed by Bartolomeo Pinelli for Raccolta di Cinquanta Costumi Pittoreschi (Collection of Fifty Picturesque Costumes), released in 1809. In a simplified version presented, in particular, in the Lviv collection, Pinelli's engraving has been known since 1816. It was issued in the album Nuova Raccolta di Cinquanta Costumi Pittoreschi incisi di acqua forte (New Collection of Fifty Picturesque Costumes), published in Rome in 1817. It was a composition from a series of youth entertainment. Between the brick building walls, a young man and a girl rocked a swing with three girls sitting on the long wooden seat. The person depicted in the centre holds an oval object, possibly a mirror. Another young man peeks out from behind the wall, waiting for his turn to swing. The engraving is painted with bright watercolours, with prevailing red, blue, and pink ones.
