Object description
The miniature represents the bust-length image of an elderly man (his hair, short sideburns, and eyebrows are gray) against the background of a cloudy sky. He is dressed in a dark blue double-breasted jacket with golden buttons (turn down black collar, puffy sleeves/manches bouffées, white shirt with a stand-up collar, over it there is a white tie in the 1830s fashion). On the right edge above the sleeve there is a scratched author's signature: Marszalkiewicz. On the back of it on the backing paper there is the inscription written in red pencil: Marszałkiewicz, Stanisław 1789–1872.
