Object description
An oval-shaped tsuba (nagamaru gata) with a wedge-shaped hole (nakago-ana) in the center and two holes (hitsu-ana) on either side of it for kozuka and kogai. The entire surface of the tsuba, except for a clearly defined smooth oval area around the central hole, is decorated with a fine-grained pattern (nanako), on the background of which there is an applied relief image of a dragon and two clouds. The edging of tsuba (mimi) is decorated with a fine-grained pattern.
