Angels represent the most numerous group of wooden sculptures, where artists embodied their observations of the surrounding world, revealing their creativity and perception of the image. Angels were carved in various ways: standing, sitting, kneeling with their hands in prayer, and depicted in different hypostases. The folk artist's sculpture from Sydorivka village depicts a young man in a long, girded tunic with his hands in prayer. His angelic nature is revealed solely by the large wings behind his back. On his gracious face, a prominent nose and straight lips with a barely noticeable smile are carved, along with small squinted eyes under low brow arches. The young man's head is framed by wavy strands of hair falling onto his shoulders. The shallowly carved folds of his long tunic are laid out in parallel vertical lines.
