Object description
Placed on a console, the sculpture of an angel in a graceful pose embodies the features of Baroque art. The childlike body with rounded forms is covered with a small cloth around the hips, and the wings behind the back complete the image. The angel's focused demeanour is enhanced by his round face with chubby cheeks, a snub nose, and deeply set eyes. The sculpture is carved without excessive expression, exaggerated gestures, or emotional tension.
