The polychrome figure of the crucified Christ is carved in the Western iconographic style. Jesus is nailed to the cross with three nails, his feet are placed one on top of each other, and his palms are clenched into fists. Christ's crouched body is rendered with pronounced naturalism: his arms are spread wide, there is a hint of anatomical depiction of the chest, and his legs are bent at the knees. Wounds, leaving bloody traces, are clearly visible on his head, palms, feet, and body. Jesus' head is slightly tilted to the right, his eyes closed. His elongated face, framed by straight lines of chestnut hair and a short wedge-shaped beard, conveys the sorrow and tranquillity of death. On his head is a crown of thorns, modelled in the form of two twisted strands. Christ's naked body is covered by a loincloth tied in a knot on the right side. The sculptural image is made decorative by the smooth, shallow diagonal folds of the bandage on the hips.
