Object description
In the given work, one can see a waist-length portrait of a middle-aged man depicted at a three-quarter profile facing to the right side of the torso and a three-quarter profile facing to the left side of the head, with a gaze directed towards the viewer. The man is wearing a long white wig on his head, and his face is clean-shaven. He is dressed in a grey costume with red accents, typical of the time of Louis XIV, adorned with loops and buttons and cinched with a belt. A sword is depicted on the man's left thigh. He is wearing a lace scarf around his neck. The man has his left hand in front of his chest, behind his attire. On the right side of the background is a brown curtain, while on the left is a blue sky with a cloud.
