The static full-length polychrome sculpture of a squat saint stands on a small square base. The elongated face with a high forehead, clearly defined eyes with closed upper eyelids, a straight nose, tightly closed lips, surrounded by sculpted beard strands, has a calm look. The artist's imperfect knowledge of the anatomy of the human body is evident in the representation of the saint's figure and its disproportion. The man is dressed in Catholic liturgical vestments: a long cassock that leaves only the feet exposed and a white surplice with wide sleeves that reaches up to the middle of the thigh. The garments are modelled with soft strands of diagonal lines that fall gently, imitating the movement of the fabric in a light breeze. The static nature of the sculpture is broken only by the drapery of the garment. The concentrated expression of the roughly carved face and the restrained pose reveal the inner peace and balance of an experienced person.
