The work depicts a sunny summer landscape. This is a rectangular realistic life study. The colour palette is mixed, and there are tonal and temperature accents. The manner of performance involves a combination of impressionistic connotations with motifs characteristic of Central European realistic painting of the second half of the nineteenth century. The landscape reflects the countryside with unpaved roads typical of the rural area. In the foreground, there is probably a marshy meadow with low yellow flowers (taking into account the season, location and region, this is Ranunculus bulbosus – bulbous buttercup). Against the background of this meadow are shrub-like groups of trees and bushes, which often grow near small streams and reclamation canals. Since a plain with fields is depicted in the background, we can assume that this is rather a canal because, in the 1960s, hydromelioration and agroforestry took place on the territory of the USSR.
