Stanislaw Sadowski (?–1784) was a son of Ignacy Sadowski, the elder of Slonim, and Konstancja Ledochowska, the castellan of Volyn. The ceremonial portrait depicts a man in expensive fashionable red clothes with a cape lined with fur. The half-length image of Stanislaw Sadowski is characteristic of the ceremonial-representative images of the 18th century, which are characterized by monumentality and a refined depiction of man. The man is depicted in a formal pose, slightly turned, with his left hand on the hilt of the saber. Every detail in the image is painted carefully, in the manner typical of a provincial artist. On the work, there is an inscription below: "Stanislaw Sadowski syn Ignacego Starosty slonimskiego, i Konstancyi / Ledochowskiey kasztelanki wolynskiey. Marszalek konfederacyi generalney woie / wodztwa czerniechowskiego i posel na seym wielki warszawski z tegoz / woiewodztwa, polkownik woysk koronnych. Robczycki, Uszycki, Teremecki, i Bakocki / starosta".
