Object description
The painting depicts Krakow during a flood. On the left, the flooded streets of the city are visible. In the foreground, a young woman in a dishevelled white shirt is leaning out of the window of an upper floor, up to her waist. Trying to attract the attention of passersby, she waves a white handkerchief above her head. Next to her, a frightened cat sits on the roof. The painting is executed in muted shades of grey and brown.
