Object description
The figure of the headless saint is reproduced in the S-shaped silhouette (figura serpentinata), common in Baroque art. The saint is presented in a dynamic pose with theatrically spread arms. The body is covered by a long tunic, leaving only the feet exposed. A drapery thrown over the right shoulder covers the hips. It is covered with soft artistic folds carved with horizontal relief strands. The saint's garment is covered with pleats that move from smooth curves to geometric planes, repeating the figure's outlines.
