Object description
A pair piece to the work Allegory of Spring. A full-figure image of an older man dressed in a wide cloak with a hood. Stepping forward, the man stretches his right hand over a pot of flames. The old man holds the pot under the bottom with his left hand. His face has a short beard, is lowered down and covered by a hood on the right. The elder is wearing sandals. The figure is mounted on a cylindrical podium made of pink marble. The work is executed realistically, without stylistic features, which makes it difficult to date the piece.
