The image of a cherub appears in the form of a decorative, massive angel's head with spread wings. The shape of the sculpture indicates that it was part of a decorative ensemble in the temple. The elongated face features rounded contours, including plump, protruding cheeks, a clearly defined beard, large almond-shaped eyes, and thin lips with downturned corners. The expression on the face is calm but stern. A certain generalisation in the interpretation of the image indicates the master's inclination towards decorativeness and symbolism. Particular attention is drawn to the spread wings that envelop the head on both sides. They are interpreted in a generalised manner with an emphasis on the rhythm of shallow carved lines, covered with remnants of dark paint. The surface of the sculptural image has preserved fragments of polychromy, but time has caused significant losses.
