Ignacy Leonard Sadowski of Nalecz, son of Reyhalda Sadowski, castellan of Brest, and Krystyna Pociej Elder of Slonimsk, colonel of the Lithuanian army. The half-length portrait of Ignacy Sadowski follows the traditions, typical of 18th-century ceremonial representations, characterised by monumentality and ennobled portrayal of a person. The man is presented in a mature age, in a formal pose, slightly turned, with a mace in his right hand - a symbol of power. In order to draw attention to the face of the portrayed man, the artist has illuminated the background. The portrait is highlighted by a red drapery over his armour. The work is complemented by an inscription that recalls the short biography «Ignacy Sadowski syn Reyhalda kasztelana Braskiego / Wiel: Xiest: Litt: / Krystyny Pocieiowny starosta Slonimsk / polkownik woysk Littewskich». Справа: «Ignacy Sadowski / Staro Sad… / pln Slon…». На звороті.: «Igna… Sadowski Sta Slonim:».
