Object description
The vessel is biconical in shape. The surface is covered with brown engobe. The painting is done with dark brown paint mostly over the upper part of the grain-pot. Wavy festoons are placed above and inside along the edge of the rims that are bent outwards. The main ornamental composition consisting of two layers comes out from the rims and is depicted on the surface of the vessel. The upper narrower layer is filled with thin parallel horizontal lines, which are broken up by an interval of 2-4 cm in two places and bounded by three thin vertical lines on both sides. The lower, wider layer is filled with an ornamental volute motif. The composition is finished with two horizontal lines.
