Object description
The work is a sculptural image of an angel whose head is tilted to the left shoulder. A soft contour line envelops the rounded face with plump pink cheeks. Polychromy adds realistic expressiveness to the dreamy and childishly naive image of the angel. The bright spot on the face is the plump red lips. A dark blue ribbon encircles the high forehead of the angel. The unruly strands of wavy, shallowly carved hair fall over the ribbon. The preserved polychromy complements the plastic perception of the sculpture and enhances its naturalism.
