Object description
A female figure is depicted in a frontal pose. Based on the positioning of the figure, clothing, and the time of creation, the work can be attributed to the Hellenistic period, specifically the 2nd century BC, which marks the peak of Greek art in the provinces. In the sculpture of the woman with a sacrificial bowl, we observe characteristic carving and the treatment of drapery of Greek clothing, particularly the chiton and the upper garment, the peplos. The original head of the sculpture has not survived; however, there are fragments of a later version, remnants of which are visible on the neck of the sculpture. This supports the assumption that another work was created in a "Roman style" later.
