The sculpture demonstrates the image of Virgin Mary in a characteristic Baroque graceful pose with a diagonal composition. The full-length figure of the saintly woman, with prayerfully folded arms, stands on a cloud surrounded by two cherubim and a waist sculptural image of an angel. The linear sophistication of the Baroque consists in modelling the garments of the saintly woman, which, with curved waves of draperies, wrap her figure, adjoining the body in the upper part, gradually hanging in the air with bizarre curves. Virgin Mary's head is thrown back and bent towards her left shoulder. From under the veil, which covers only the top of the head, wavy hair strands are seen; they are fixed in a neat hairstyle. An expression of prayerful thoughtfulness and detachment is frozen on the saint's pretty face, which is enhanced by the look from her upwardly turned eyes. Harmonious proportions of forms and academic modelling of the anatomy of the human body distinguish the aesthetic value of the work.
