Ignacy Leonard Sadowski of Nalecz coat of arms, son of Reynhald Sadowski, castellan of Brest, and Krystyna Pociej. He was the elder of Slonimsk and colonel of the Lithuanian army. The half-length portrait of Ignacy Sadowski follows the traditions, typical of 18th-century ceremonial representations, characterised by monumentality and ennobled portrayal of a person. The man is presented in a mature age, in a formal pose, slightly turned, with a mace in his right hand – a symbol of power. In order to draw attention to the face of the portrayed man, the artist has illuminated the background. The portrait is highlighted by a red drapery over his armour. The work is complemented by an inscription that recalls the short biography "Ignacy Sadowski syn Reynhalda kasztelana Brzeskiego / Wiel: Xiest: Litt: / Krystyny Pocieiowny starosta Slonimsk / polkownik woysk Littewskich". Inscription on the right: "Ignacy Sadowski / Staro Sad… / pln Slon…". Inscription on the back of the work: "Igna. Sadowski Ssta Slonim:".
