The 1970s are considered the time of Leopold Levytskyi's full realisation of his artistic potential in a broad thematic and formal range. In the early 1970s, the artist found his original subject matter, a uniquely individual style of graphic language – extremely generalised, sparing and at the same time charming in its artistic immediacy, built on a combination of laconic contours and spots, layering of planes. In addition, for the last three years of his life, the artist was fond of lithography. The artist created some of the best paintings with autobiographical motifs using this technique.
